WHAT DOES AUDJA PRO ACTUALLY DO?
It prepares 3D models for multi-filament printing. Automatic mesh cleanup on import, painting and segmentation tools to assign filament colors to mesh regions, smart splitting for prints too large for the bed, boolean editing and modifiers, printability analysis (thin walls, overhangs), and export of multi-material 3MF files that carry your color assignments into common slicers.
DOES IT NEED INTERNET?
Only one specific step — the automatic region detection that uses our remote vision model — needs internet. Everything else (manual painting, smart fill, geometric segmentation, Smart Key-Cut, booleans, repair, export, most analysis) runs fully offline once installed.
WHICH FILE FORMATS ARE SUPPORTED?
Import: STL, OBJ, FBX, 3MF, PLY, STEP. Auto-repair runs on import. Export: multi-color 3MF with embedded paint assignments.
WHICH SLICERS WORK WITH THE 3MF?
Any slicer that supports multi-color 3MF. Commonly cited examples include OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio and PrusaSlicer. Setup details and material assignment behavior can vary between slicers and printers, so always do a final check inside your slicer before printing.
WHICH PRINTERS DOES AUDJA SUPPORT?
Audja produces 3MF files — it doesn't talk to a printer directly. Any multi-filament FDM workflow that reads multi-color 3MF should work, including AMS-style systems (Bambu Lab A1, P1S, X1C), Prusa XL and MMU-based setups, and similar. Single-extruder printers can still use Audja for repair, splitting and analysis.
HOW DOES AUTOMATIC PAINTING WORK?
You load a model, open the color panel, and run analysis. The system detects logical regions (face, hair, clothing, props) and assigns filament colors. You then refine with the brush, smart fill, lasso, gap fill and other tools. Processing time scales with model complexity. This step is cloud-assisted and requires internet.
WHAT IS SMART KEY-CUT?
A splitting tool for models too large for your bed. You position a plane, pick a connector — cube, octagon, dovetail or puzzle lock — and tune clearance to match your printer's tolerance. Cut, repeat for multi-piece prints, and the joints align cleanly during assembly.
WHAT DOES AUTO MESH REPAIR FIX?
Common defects that cause slicer headaches: non-manifold edges, holes, flipped normals, and self-intersections. Repair runs automatically on import and can be triggered manually from the repair panel. The mesh inspection report tells you exactly what changed and what's left.
WHAT KIND OF ANALYSIS IS BUILT IN?
Wall-thickness heatmap, overhang detection (highlights surfaces past your angle threshold), and a mesh inspection report (triangle count, volume, dimensions, non-manifold edges, holes, components). Plus component cleanup to remove floating fragments or unwanted internal bits.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS?
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), GPU with OpenGL 4.3+, 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB+ recommended for large models. macOS and Linux are not supported yet — they may be considered later.
UNDO HISTORY AND AUTOSAVE?
Yes. Full undo / redo for strokes and edits, and automatic project saving so you don't lose work to a crash or a wrong click.
WHAT DOES "BETA" MEAN HERE?
Active development. Features land quickly, rough edges exist, and feedback has unusual leverage on what ships in v1.0. The beta is free, and bug reports / feature requests reach the engineering team directly.
WILL AUDJA STAY FREE?
During beta, yes. We're focused on getting the product right first. We're not announcing pricing or plans yet — beta participants will hear before any change.
HOW DO I REPORT BUGS / REQUEST FEATURES?
